PA CLASSICS WIN AGAIN IN EXTRA TIME TO MOVE ON TO FINAL

 

For the second straight match, PA Classics needed extra time—and a hat trick by Elizabeth Estrada—to advance to the East Region Finals tomorrow in Niagara Falls, N.Y. 

 

Brooklyn City F.C. took the lead in the match in the 18th minute when Kyleigh Goodrich scored the first of her two goals on the night from a free kick 25 yards from goal. Goodrich swung her right-footed kick with pace to the near upper corner. PA Classics goalkeeper Hannah Wilt got a hand to the ball but it was not enough. 

 

Estrada pulled PA Classics level nine minutes later, cutting the ball in from the left flank to set up a right-footed rising blast to the far corner. 

 

A scoreless second half sent the match to extra time, where Estrada out did herself, scoring another picture-perfect goal from the right channel, this time from 30 yards out in the 106th minute. 

 

Not to be outdone, Goodrich bagged her second on the night two minutes later to draw the game level at 2-2. 

 

But it was Estrada, who now leads the Post Season Golden Boot race with six, who had the final word, putting PA Classics through with her third of the night in the 115th minute.

With the win, PA Classics move to 2-0-0 in the postseason and 7-4-1 overall.
