SPORTING CT ROLLS PAST NIAGARA 1812 TO ADVANCE TO EAST REGION FINAL
First-year club, Sporting CT, picked up a statement-making win as it advanced to the East Region Playoffs Final after a 9-0 win over hosts, Niagara 1812.
Emily Senatore, Laney Smith, and Abby Burgess all tallied braces, and Kylee McIntosh, Tiffany Weimer, and Lexi Taylor added goals in the win. Goalkeeper Caitlin Delay is credited with the clean sheet in goal.
McIntosh, Weimner, Senatore, Smith, and Taylor scored first half goals to make it 5-0 going into the intermission. Smith, Burgess, and Senatore added goals in the second half before Burgess capped the scoring with an Olympico from the right corner to make it 9-0 with ten minutes to play.

The win moves Sporting CT to 1-0-0 in the postseason and 10-0-1 overall.
Sporting Ct advances to the East Region Final tomorrow in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. (EDT).
