The National Player of the Week for Week 6 has been awarded to Tia Saade of New York Athletic Club.

New York Athletic Club came into Week 6 with three tough matches on schedule, only separated by 1-2 days in between. Coming off its first two losses of the season with defeats from SUSA FC and Brooklyn City FC earlier in the week, where NYAC was outscored 5-0, Tia Saade’s performance against the NJ Wizards SC sparked an offensive momentum to get NYAC back on track.

The Stevens Institute of Technology grad student put NYAC ahead in the 22’ minute and sparked a drive that gave it the lead going into half.

Saade’s real influence was yet to be seen.

NYAC went on to score four more goals in the second half where Saade completed her hat trick with goals in the 51’ and 86’ minutes.

With the addition of her two assists, Saade contributed to five of the six goals NYAC scored in the 6-2 win while only recording 65 minutes of play.
