REGIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Women’s Premier Soccer League has named its RecoFit Regional Players of the Week for Week 6 performances – Kyah Le (Spokane SC Shadow), Addison Stanciak (FC Milwaukee Torrent), Kendall Cook (Atlanta Fire United), and Tia Saade (New York Athletic Club)


These honorees include high school and collegiate players who collectively scored and contributed to 20 goals on the week with 345 minutes of playing time recorded – including two first half hat tricks, a second half hattrick, and knocking of a Top 10 in the region.

WEST REGION PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kyah Le, Midfielder, Spokane SC Shadow

Spokane SC Shadow had a big game in Week 6 as it hosted then-ranked No. 10 Seattle Reign FC II. Midfielder, Kyah Le put the Shadow on the board first with a goal in the 30’ minute. Reign II quickly equalized just minutes after that.


Just before halftime, Le again put Spokane back in the lead by assisting B. Trejo’s goal in the 40’ minute. The Utah Tech junior added her second assist of the game with the final goal in the 67’ minute.

Le’s offensive influence proved crucial for Spokane’s 4-1 win over Reign II. She now has four assists on the season – leading both Spokane and the Northwest Conference.

CENTRAL REGION PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Addison Stanciak, Forward, FC Milwaukee Torrent

FC Milwaukee Torrent went 2-0 in Week 6 while outscoring its two opponents 13-1. Forward, Addison Stanciak contributed to eight of those 13 goals. The high school junior scored six goals and recorded two assists while only playing a total of 90min between the two games.


In Milwaukee’s 6-0 win over Quad Cities Rush, Stanciak tallied four goals – including a first hat trick with goals in the 29’, 36’, and 39’ minutes. Her fourth goal came in the 63’ minute for the Torrent’s final goal of the game.


Two days later, Milwaukee faced Chicago House AC, beating the expansion side 7-1. Stanciak recorded her brace in two minutes at the 80’ and 82’ markers.


Stanciak also recorded an assist against both Quad Cities and Chicago House and only played 45 minutes in each game. She now leads Milwaukee in goals and assists as well as the Lake Michigan Division together.

SOUTH REGION PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kendall Cook, Forward, Atlanta Fire United

Kendall Cook lead Atlanta Fire United to a 4-0 win over FC Nashville Wolves by scoring all four of the goals.


Playing two games in Week 6, Atlanta Fire United entered its match versus the Wolves after coming off a 4-0 loss itself against Georgia Impact. Cook, Atlanta’s captain, lifted the team to regain its momentum and confidence as they head into their final two games of the season.


The Mercer University senior scored a first half hattrick with goals in the 9’, 37’, and 42’ minutes before tallying her four goals at the start of the second half.


Cook leads Atlanta Fire in goals after the performance and now sits tied in third for top goal scorers in the Southeast Conference.

EAST REGION PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tia Saade, Forward, New York Athletic Club

Tia Saade came up big for the New York Athletic Club offense in its 6-2 win over NJ Wizards SC in Week 6. Saade, only playing 65 minutes of the game, broke the deadlock in the 22’ minute to give NYAC the lead.


Going into the half ahead was just the momentum boost NYAC needed as it went on to score another four goals and secure its win at home. The Stevens Institute of Technology grad student went on to score two more times with goals in the 51’ and 86’ minutes to secure her hat trick.


Additionally, Saade recorded two assists to bring her game contribution to three goals and two assists.
