The giant is awake. Salvo SC jumped seven places to claim the No. 1 spot on the strength of its fourth shutout win in a row. Salvo’s main Northern Conference competition, Sioux Falls City FC came in at No. 2. A tough draw dropped last week’s No. 1, FC Dayton to No. 3, and last week’s No. 2, Arlington Soccer, dropped four spots to No. 6 after a scoreless battle at home.

1. SALVO SC (5-0-0)

Central Region — Northern Conference

Week 5 Rank: 8

Last year’s WPSL runner-up, Salvo SC continues to steam through the Northern Conference competition, picking up its fourth consecutive shutout win, topping St. Croix Legacy on the road.

2. SIOUX FALLS CITY FC (5-0-0)

Central Region — Northern Conference

Week 5 Rank: 3

Up one spot from last week, Sioux Falls City FC is fresh off a 5-0 win versus MapleBrook Fury last Saturday. The win keeps City even with No. 1 Salvo on points (15), but ahead of Salvo in the standings thanks to a superior goal differential.
