TOP TWO TEAMS IN GATEWAY BATTLE FOR DIVISION ADVANTAGE IN STANDINGS

 

 

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - FC Pride will host undefeated FC Dayton for a midweek rematch on Tuesday June 18th at Pride Performance Center. The teams’ first matchup in Week 4 resulted in a win for FC Dayton. Forward Dani Hicks scored the one and only goal in the middle of the second half, securing the hard fought win.


FC Pride is coming off of a shutout win over the Dayton Dutch Lions FC last week with goals from Kayla Budish, Caroline Kelley, and Paige Miller. The Pride is looking to close the gap between FC Dayton and overtake the first place spot in the Midwest Conference standings in the future.


FC Dayton continues to dominate the Gateway Division with its aggressive front line. The team has racked up 23 goals against opponents in just seven matches. FC Dayton striker Peyton Kohls has scored six goals this season, placing her first in the standings. FC Pride’s Kayla Budish follows closely behind with five goals, making this rematch highly anticipated. FC Dayton hopes to stay undefeated in preparation for the postseason. Fans of both teams can watch the match’s live stream on WPSL TV at 6:30 PM Eastern time.


Both teams have quick turnarounds with matches scheduled for Friday and Saturday. FC Pride looks to travel to Reitz Memorial High School Soccer Field to face F.C. Spirit on Friday June 21. FC Dayton is scheduled to play against Lou Fusz Athletic on Saturday June 22. This is a rematch of the teams Week 5 matchups, where FC Dayton remained on top, knocking Lou Fusz down to third in the Midwest. All games can be streamed on WPSL TV.
