INDIANAPOLIS, IND.– FC Pride is preparing to host its first match of the 2024 season against the new and upcoming, Junction FC on Friday, May 24th at Pride Performance Center.

FC Pride comes off a successful regular season with an impressive 5-3-0 record, finishing third in the division play last season. The Pride is backed by its tenured Head Coach, Jamie Gilbert. Accumulating 15 goals against opponents last year, FC Pride is hoping to dominate its 11th season debut against the newcomers.

While it is Junction FC’s first season, the expansion side has seen some success in its first two games. Junction FC currently sits at third in the Midwest Conference – Gateway Division standings, with a 1-1-0 record. The club is backed by coaching staff led by Head Coach Kip McDaniel and supported by Assistant Coaches Josh Stebbins and Noy Radanavong.

Junction FC had two players nominated for WPSL Player of the Week for Week 2: Alyssa Weede and Bree Cordray. Weede, a midfielder, scored a goal in each of the games last week, helping lead her team to its first ever victory. Weede’s teammate, Cordray, impressively played 90+ minutes in both back-to-back games. The defender aided in the shutout against Dayton Dutch Lions FC. Additionally, Junction FC broke into the Central Region Top 10 after the first two weeks of season play.

Junction FC hopes to build on its newfound success against the seasoned FC Pride at 7:00pm (EDT). The match will be streamed on WPSL TV powered by Hudl TV.

Junction FC will kick off Week 4 in a match against Lou Fusz Athletic on Monday, May 27. FC Pride looks forward to three games in Week 4 on May 29, June 1, and June 2.
