2023 EAST REGION WPSL SCHEDULED UNVEILED

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 17, 2023) - Day three of the Women's Premier Soccer League's schedule-release week highlights the East Region by announcing the slate of 137 matches across its four conferences - Lake Erie, Metropolitan, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeastern. The region features 30 teams, including six WPSL newcomers. The Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern Conferences open the season on May 13, with the Northeastern set to host the East Region Playoffs in mid-July.

LAKE ERIE CONFERENCE

The newly formed Lake Erie Conference kicks off with a match-up between two 2023 expansion sides on May 21 as Erie FC hosts RNY FC. The 5-team conference will decide its champion based on regular-season position standings.
 

METROPOLITAN CONFERENCE

SUSA FC and Brooklyn City FC will meet in the Metropolitan Conference season opener on June 3. The top two finishers in conference standings at the end of the regular season will compete in the conference championship match on July 8.
 

MID-ATLANTIC CONFERENCE

The Mid-Atlantic Conference features 12 teams balanced within two divisions - Colonial and Keystone. The PA Classics will host expansion side, Reading United A.C. on May 13 to open Colonial Division play with Penn Fusion SA hosting Washington Dutch Lions FC on May 20 for the Keystone Division. The division winners will meet on July 8 to decide the conference champion.
 

NORTHEASTERN CONFERENCE

The Northeastern Conference kicks off on May 13 with the Rhode Island Rogues traveling to the New York Shockers. The Northeastern Champion will be named by regular season standing finishes.
