FC MILWAUKEE TORRENT CLINCH FOURTH STRAIGHT DIVISION TITLE
For the fourth straight season, FC Milwaukee Torrent are division champions.
A draw versus second place Bavarian United SC midweek, followed by wins Friday and Sunday put Milwaukee at 8-2-0 on the season, three points ahead of Bavarian United at the top of the Lake Michigan Division table.
“It is a great accomplishment when you win the division title four years in a row,” Andreas Davi, FC Milwaukee Torrent owner, said. “It’s a result of the work we put in every day. There’s obviously still a long journey ahead but winning the division title is a great accomplishment.”

Milwaukee started the season strong with three straight wins, including a 4-2 win over Green Bay Glory and a 2-1 win at Bavarian United SC before dropping points in a 0-0 draw at Chicago House AC to close out Matchweek Five.
After surrendering points in a 1-1 draw vs. Bavarian United SC to open Matchweek Eight, Milwaukee picked up a pair of wins: 3-0 at Green Bay Glory and 6-1 in the club’s regular season home finale versus Chicago KICS Football Club.
Scoring 29 goals over 10 games, the club was led by Ashlyn Skinner-Barrett (University of Wisconsin Milwaukee 2022- ) and Maya Wilson (University of Wisconsin Milwaukee 2023- ) lead the club with four goals each. Four different players scored three goals on the season, four different players contributed two goals over the 10-game schedule, and another three added one goal.
At the other end of the field, goalkeeper Kate Hopma (Drake University 2024- ) started every game for Milwaukee, posting a .6 goal against average with four clean sheets for the season.
FC Milwaukee Torrent puts its unbeaten record on the line Wednesday when it hosts Land of the Lakes Division representative St. Croix Legacy in the North Lakes Conference Final at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee. The winner advances to the Central Region Playoffs hosted by the Midwest Conference winner July 12 and 13. The four regional winners will meet at the WPSL Championships in Stillwater, Okla. July 18 and 20.
