DALLAS – The Women’s Premier Soccer League announced today, D’Feeters Kicks Soccer Club will join the league in the 2022 season. With the announcement, the club becomes the second expansion team for 2022.

“DKSC is excited to be joining the WPSL,” Juan Martinez, DKSC club president and executive director said. “DKSC players now have an opportunity to return to DKSC in-between [collegiate] seasons for continued support, development, and conditioning with their DKSC family and use this great platform to reach the next level if that’s their goal. We cannot wait to get started!”

D'Feeters was founded in 1978 and merged with the Dallas Kicks in 2015 to form DKSC. The WPSL side will compete under the name DKSC BADTOP.  BADTOP is an acronym that encompasses DKSC’s mission and vision – Building A Different Type Of Player.

DKSC ranks as one of the Top 25 clubs nationally and has been competing member for the Girls ECNL since its inception in 2009. Recently, two DKSC players were called up to the U-17 Mexico Women’s National Team training camp in May. DKSC has also had players called up for the women’s national teams of Columbia and Puerto Rico and have alumnae currently playing in the SEC, ACC, BIG 12, and other top conferences and programs across the country.

By joining the WPSL, DKSC will focus on bringing high-level soccer to the Dallas community and local clubs for former players, collegiate athletes, and post-graduate players. DKSC will prioritize promoting leadership amongst female athletes as role models for future generations.

“This is part of our never-ending effort to Build A Different Type Of Player,” Martinez said. “The opportunities, support, and pathways for higher-level training and competition at DKSC no longer stop with your high school diploma.”

For their inaugural season, DKSC will play their home matches at Patriot Soccer Field at Dallas Baptist University. Season tickets and individual tickets will be available.
